  2. Another happy thought: your State Board of Education is meeting this week. Be very afraid. From the Texas Observer:

    "Board member Don McLeroy is expected to re-introduce an amendment requiring students to learn that the civil rights movement created unrealistic expectations of equality."

    Also what ever happened to the constitutional separation of Church and State.

  4. Texas is headed in a different direction from the rest of the country. I don't understand why educators at UT and A&M are not speaking out about this.
