Another happy thought: your State Board of Education is meeting this week. Be very afraid. From the Texas Observer:
"Board member Don McLeroy is expected to re-introduce an amendment requiring students to learn that the civil rights movement created unrealistic expectations of equality."
"Or, if Green continues to exert the political prowess his win has shown he’s capable, he’ll be able to spin them as unfounded attacks stemming from liberal bias."
Don't you just love how "Liberal" is used as a dirty word. Also what ever happened to the constitutional separation of Church and State.
This guy is the lead vote-getter in the Republican primary for a Texas Supreme Court position.

Texas is headed in a different direction from the rest of the country. I don't understand why educators at UT and A&M are not speaking out about this.
