Why Elections Matter, in one Graph

Assuming that I posted this link correctly, this graphic is taken from an article in the Washington Post by Ezra Klein about the economic impact of the governing party on the different economic sectors of the country. Certainly makes it more clear why big business supports the GOP. http://tinyurl.com/24zm22s

  1. ...not sure about that conclusion,

it seems, that if ones political motivation is to vote for the party that gives the biggest boost to your income, then, in all categories shown, one would logically vote for the democratic party to govern since there is greater income growth...

whatever, the time frame that the data for the chart covered, people in the 95% or less income brackets have not seen any significant income growth since the 1980 - thank you Ronnie...with the exception of people in the greater than 99% percentile (not shown) - the CEO's and the entrepreneurial class...

    RPBP is apolitical...

Both parties are totally corrupt and sold out to the corporations - we have become a corporatacy - on our way toward fascism - the party in power is irrelevant, we are owned by corporate america and their puppet master's greed is all consuming...

    ...going for a bike ride now...9/11 +9

  2. If I read the chart correctly it illustrates Higher Income Growth for all Income brackets under Democratic then Republican administrations.
I would agree that Business supports the power and influence best advancing their self serving interests. The prosperity of the early 2000's based on deregulation, shell game accounting and a credit culture, came at a great price we are now paying.
That said apparently Business is betting on the Republicans regaining House/Senate influence in November. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/09/major-democratic-donors-shift-donations/
