Admittedly moved me to tears.
It's emotional power was used in the slow motion death scene in Movie: Platoon.

ReplyDeleteSir Edward - The day after President Kennedy was assassinated, the radio stations in Philadelphia played, and re-played Elgar's "Adagio for Strings", and this music will always be a part of me. It is actually a movement taken from a string quartet. If you enjoy Elgar, listen to his "Chanson de Matin" (morning song to you), and his "Dream Children", which I could not find on 'youtube'. Tomorrow I am ordering the piano sheet music for a selection of Elgar's works , as I particularly wish to learn the above two mentioned pieces.
