...Pate Metheney...what's up with that...takes some time until they get into it, some people call this a Lounge Music interpretation of Giant Steps...oh well, I guess I see their point, but I have such fond memories of Pat when he was pure...back in Bean Town, circa 1976...

ReplyDeleteKeyboards would be better on a grand for subtlety of touch/tone.There are some new digital keyboards that have amazing grand sound.

Saw him once at a Harvard SQ. Hotel Bar.
Robot Sax is mechanical and lacks soulful Human touch and breath.
Heard a great interview today on XM radio with Winton talking about Coltrane's dedication (practice,practice) and spiritual sound.
